Project Finished!

I have compiled all information into a single report paper, reviewed and edited it, added images and finalized this research.

My demo blog is doing well: it has been keyword optimized and it is currently ranking at 3rd page for the main keyword. I am keeping track of traffic with Blogger's build in Google Analytics feature, and I am attempting to speed up the indexing process using Google Webmaster Tools, specifically the "Fetch" and "Submit to Index" feature.

I have created and uploaded 5 original posts with image and text context, including affiliate links for monetization. This is an ongoing project and the blog will keep going in the future.

Monetizing: Final Section of the Research Completed

I have finally completed the very last written section of this project!

I am currently in the process of compiling everything into an official paper, editing, adding images and citing sources. I will also write an introduction, conclusion, and a short report of how my demo blog is doing. 

When everything is completed, the final paper will be available for download on this blog.

Keyword Research and Demo Blog Set Up

I have selected my niche and researched keywords using online tools. Finally, I have set up the demo blog, which can be found here: http://bohodiva.blogspot.com.

The final stage of this project will include creating demo content and laying the foundations for monetization.

After the completion of this final stage, the information will be compiled into an official research paper, where supporting images will be added and sources will be cited accordingly in APA style.

How to Plan, Set Up, and Start Optimizing a Blog

Starting to explore the practical aspects of optimizing and monetizng a blog, I am completing a new section - the penultimate section of this research, to be found under "Setting Up a Blog" in the navigation above. In this section, I discuss the process of creating a blog from the very beginning: choosing a niche, planning content, choosing a platform, designing and setting everything up. Optimization is also a part of this process: keywords need to be defined first, and the blog title, domain name and content should follow them.

The following, last section of the research, will explore the processes that follow once the blog is up and running: creating content, ongoing optimization and promotion, and specific monetization methods.
